2020 Goes Virtual with Majority of Construction Conferences Switching to Online Platforms

June 4th, 2020 | by NEWCA

As our country begins to slowly transition back to normal—people returning to work, businesses opening to the public and embracing the outdoor life that spring and summer usually bring—the construction industry is plotting a course forward for its conferences during the second half of 2020.

Many are being transitioned to virtual platforms, while others are remaining in-person events. A few have been canceled.

In-person events include the National Association of Women in Construction’s annual conference scheduled for August 12-15 in Houston, TX, as will the Groundbreaking Women in Construction conference in San Francisco from August 24-25.

The Building Innovation 2020 Conference and Expo will likewise be held in-person in Arlington, VA from August 16-19. It was originally scheduled for April 6-9, 2020.

Those moving to online presentations include AGC 2020 Federal Contractors Virtual Conference as well as ABC Virtual Legal Conference—both in June.

Our friends at Construction Dive have compiled an extensive list of events and their status here.
