June 17th, 2020 | by NEWCANEW Construction Alliance members are invited to participate in the free upcoming “Drive Thru Job Fair” taking place on July 15, 2020 from 12n-4pm at the Riverside Ballroom in Green Bay. The event is sponsored by Alliance members: Forward Service Corporation and the Bay Area Workforce Development Board, as well as the Job Center of Wisconsin.
The job fair—which is part of a unified, statewide effort—is meant to highlight that there is still a lot of opportunity available despite the setbacks created by the COVID-19 situation.
“During this troubled time, Forward Service Corporation, Job Center of Wisconsin, and the Department of Workforce Development decided to take an initiative from Lincoln Nebraska and hold a Drive Thru Job Fair,” said Craig Coleman, job developer for Forward Service Corporation and their TrANS program. “With so many employers looking to hire and indoor hiring events being too risky, a Drive Thru Job Fair offers a unique and creative way for members of the Alliance to grow their workforce.”
To participate, each Alliance member needs to provide 400 one-page recruitment flyers. The flyer should be formatted on 8.5x11” paper and information can be on one or both sides—but only one page per company.
Sponsors suggest you include some or all of the following on your flyer:
• Company name, location, logo, etc.
• Available position(s)
• How to apply
• Details about company benefits and/or wages
• Your contact information and preferred method of follow up by job seekers
(email, phone or both)
• What makes your company special, what is the service or product you
provide?
• EEO statement
All flyers must be dropped off to the Forward Service Corporation’s offices—located 726 Pine Street, Green Bay, WI 54301—by 12n on Friday, July 10, 2020.
Your flyer will be inserted into a presentation bags, which are being assembled utilizing proper COVID-19 safety protocols. Each car attending the fair will receive one bag will all participants information contained therein.
