Focus on Energy Announces Ally Award Winners in the Construction TradesShare this on Facebook

As part of the virtual U.S. Green Building Council Wisconsin’s Transformation event, Focus on Energy announced the 2020 construction trade winners of its coveted Ally Award.

Seven construction and design firms were recognized in eight separate categories. Three of the firms are based within the boundaries served by NEW Construction Alliance. They are: Bray Associates, who have offices in Sheboygan; Muermann Engineering based in Kiel; and Miron Construction Co, Inc., based in Green Bay. All winners are also Trade Allies of Focus on Energy, which is an energy efficiency and renewable energy resources program in Wisconsin.

The winners are firms that “completed new construction projects with Focus on Energy between July 2019 and June 2020. Focus on Energy provides technical and financial support at every stage of the design and construction process for energy-saving projects,” according to WisBusiness.

Erin Soman, director of energy programs at Focus on Energy, said: “We’re proud to recognize our partners in the design and construction industry who play a significant role in Focus on Energy’s success. Incorporating energy efficiency into the beginning stages of a new construction project maximizes the benefits derived from these measures by reducing energy waste and utility costs over the entire life of the building.”
