The construction industry has witnessed a boom in industry-based tech solutions over the past decade. One reason for reliance on tech tools—particularly specialized apps—is to compensate for our workforce shortage.
According to a new JBKnowledge ConTech report, nearly 93 percent of survey participants use a smart phone for their daily work. This versus just 64 percent who use tablets and 83 percent who utilize laptops on a daily basis.
The report ranked the top apps in several categories. Some of those categories included with top rated apps:

PLAN MANAGEMENT APPS:

The report points out some of the industry’s weak points in adopting such tech, including app fatigue and lack of proper cybersecurity.
App fatigue, according to Kara Dalton-Arro, marketing manager for JBKnowledge, is “the dilemma is there is not a one-size-fits-all app so builders are forced to use many different apps. When the different apps do not integrate or talk to each other, builders will have to enter the same information or repeat processes."
