November 21st, 2019 | Published by NEW Construction AllianceThe NEW Construction Alliance’s inaugural annual meeting took place this past Tuesday at Mackinaw’s with more than 80 percent of our membership scheduled to attend.
Board Chairman Bill Monfre and Board Vice Chairman Stan Johnson provided attendees with a State of the Alliance presentation and an outlook for 2020 respectively.
Monfre, president of Quality Insulators, Inc./Asbestos Removal, Inc., detailed the strong accomplishments of the Alliance first full year. These included seating a very strong, competent board, establishing and building organizational infrastructure, organizing data, committee formation, website development and hiring an executive director, among others.
The 2020 outlook, according to Johnson, president of A.C.E. Building Services, includes helping publicize and improve the construction trades image, expanding our membership and transferring asset map data to a members-only portion of the website.
The Alliance strategic plan going forward is based on four main focuses:
1) Organization Creation, Infrastructure and Improvement
2) Public Relations –Industry Image Improvement
3) Interactive Online Asset Map/Workforce Development Organization Rating
4) Improving Industry Productivity/Best Practices
