Tech developer Built Robotics has unveiled the first fully autonomous construction equipment to contractors and heavy machine operators.

According to reporting from Construction Dive, “A software upgrade to excavating equipment will allow the machinery to operate autonomously or be piloted remotely, making it the first of its kind to be offered commercially in the U.S.”

Built Robitics plans on demonstrating the system on an excavator at next month’s CONEXPO-CON/AGG Convention in Las Vegas.
