Next week, March 1-7, 2020, the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) will celebrate the 2020 Women in Construction (WIC) Week.
According to the organization’s press release, “The focus of WIC Week is to highlight women as a visible component of the construction industry. It is also a time for local chapters to give back to their communities. WIC Week provides an occasion for NAWIC’s thousands of members across the country to raise awareness of the opportunities available for women in the construction industry and to emphasize the growing role of women in the industry.”
The NEW Construction Alliance salutes all the women working in Northeast Wisconsin’s construction workforce and we would like your help celebrating them in next week’s The Build Out.
To participate, please email any of the following items to our executive director, Joe Giganti, at firstname.lastname@example.org:
-Shout outs to the hard-working ladies in your company (1-2 sentences, please include their name and role and who the compliment is from)
-Profile subjects. The Build Out would like to conduct short interviews with the female stars of our industry for inclusion in next week’s and future editions. Send your suggestions to include their name, role and full contact information.
-Action Pics. If you have pictures of your Women in Construction hard at work, please send those as well to be included in the newsletter as well as social media posts.
We look forward to celebrating Women in Construction Week with your help!
